A leading engineering consultancy in Rotterdam is seeking a (Lead) Engineer Werktuigbouwkunde to contribute to the design and calculation of mechanical installations. This role involves collaboration with a diverse team, maintaining client communication, and ensuring project alignment. Ideal candidates will have a strong educational background in mechanical engineering, relevant experience, and excellent communication skills.

Qualifications

• Completed education at MBO+/HBO level in Mechanical Engineering, Installation Technology, or a related field.
• At least 3 years of relevant work experience.
• Strong command of the Dutch language, both spoken and written.

Responsibilities

• Design and calculate installations for both new construction and modification projects.

As a Mechanical Engineering Engineer, you will play a crucial role in the design and calculation of mechanical installations for both new construction and modification projects. Collaborating within a team that includes a project manager, work preparer, and draftsman/modeler, you will independently develop the installation designs, which serve as the foundation for further technical development. Additionally, you will maintain effective communication with the client during the design phase, ensuring proper alignment within the project team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and calculate installations for both new construction and modification projects.
• Evaluate design changes and provide recommendations regarding additional or reduced work.
• Coordinate material selection, manage orders, and monitor delivery times and quantities.
• Prepare technical reports and process maintenance documentation.

• Completed education at MBO+/ HBO level in Mechanical Engineering, Installation Technology, or a related field.
• At least 3 years of relevant work experience.
• Proficient in applicable software for creating drawings and performing (technical) calculations.
