Job summary

European Space Agency in Noordwijk, Netherlands, seeks a Lead Engineer to drive Secure Connectivity 5G NTN end-to-end systems and validation within the System Architecture Section. You will own the IRIS2 5G roadmap, oversee end-to-end performance, and coordinate validation campaigns across space, ground and user terminals.

The role requires a master’s degree in engineering and at least four years of relevant experience; telecoms and secure environment exposure are desirable.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in engineering with four years of relevant professional experience.
• Alternative: bachelor’s degree plus four years of related experience.
• Experience with commercial telecoms and secure environments is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end 5G NTN validation across space, ground and user terminals.
• Develop and maintain the IRIS2 5G roadmap across releases.
• Ensure end-to-end performance requirements and KPIs are met.
• Coordinate validation activities including simulations and in-orbit testing.
• Liaise with Ground Segment, Security, Space Segment Offices and industry.
