Job summary

European Space Agency is seeking an experienced Lead Engineer to drive the end-to-end 5G NTN system validation within the Secure Connectivity Programme. You will coordinate cross-domain validation activities, maintain the 5G roadmap, and ensure traceability of performance requirements across space, ground and user segments.

The role requires a master’s degree in engineering and at least four years of relevant experience, with strong knowledge of 3GPP standards and security considerations.

Qualifications

• Experience in design and validation of 5G NTN systems across space, ground and user segments.
• Knowledge of 3GPP standards and security aspects.
• Strong track record in managing industrial activities, reviews and negotiations.

Responsibilities

• Follow the 5G implementation within end-to-end system architecture and use cases.
• Lead end-to-end performance validation activities including simulations and test campaigns.
• Coordinate with ESA stakeholders and industry partners to ensure traceability of requirements and verification results.
