Job summary

Maisha Mazuri is seeking a lead DevOps professional to steer a small team in a hybrid bare metal and cloud environment for a trading platform.

You will drive the DevOps vision, optimize the setup, build automation, and coordinate with Quants and backend engineers to deliver scalable, high-performance infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Proactive and driven attitude.
• 5+ years in DevOps, SRE, Infrastructure, Platform Engineering or similar roles.
• Fluent English communication.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS or GCP).
• Experience with bare metal Linux environments.

Job description

Our partner company is a trading firm with an in-house developed trading system trading both traditional markets and digital assets. This position is the lead for a small team of DevOps and Platform Engineers in a hybrid bare metal and cloud environment. You will be responsible for driving and implementing the DevOps vision for the entire trading platform with a key focus on performance and scalability. This includes, amongst others, focusing on optimizing the existing set-up, delegating tasks across the team, building automations and reducing the need for manual intervention, prioritising company-wide tech projects in alignment with other lead engineers, working closely with Quants, backend engineers, and other stakeholders in driving projects to completion.

Requirements

A proactive and driven attitude

At least 5+ years work experience in a DevOps, SRE, Infrastructure, Platform Engineering or similar role

Professional grasp of the English language (please know, our partner companies are made up of staff from all over the world most of whom who are non-native English speakers)

Knowledge of cloud platforms (ideally AWS or GCP) and related DevOps technologies

Professional experience working with bare metal servers in a Linux environment

Proficiency scripting in Bash, Python, or Powershell

Experience in a financial markets setting is a nice to have
