Job summary

Vivid Resourcing is seeking an experienced Data & Analytics Lead to steer a team of data scientists and business analysts, delivering reliable reports, dashboards and predictive models for internal stakeholders.

You will set priorities, coach senior analysts, collaborate with Data Engineering, and drive data strategy across Portfolio Management, Finance, Risk and Investor Relations, reporting to the head of Portfolio Management.

We bring our data scientists and business analysts together in one new team, and you will be the player-coach who ensures that colleagues and investors can always count on reliable reports, sharp analyses and increasingly smarter models.

We are looking for an experienced Data & Analytics Lead who gives direction, sets priorities and rolls up his sleeves. A role for a professional with 10 to 15 years of work experience who combines leadership with a technical background in the field of reporting, data analysis and predictive modeling.

We want to be and remain the best asset manager and mortgage lender in Dutch residential mortgages. This can only be achieved if colleagues and investors can rely on accurate, timely data and insights. The new Data Science & Analytics team is key to this and you ensure that the team lives up to that role.

You lead a team of data scientists and business analysts that provide standard reports, dashboards and data-driven insights for colleagues and investors. In addition, the team is working on process automation and prediction models, with AI and machine learning becoming an increasingly important spearhead. The team serves the entire organization such as Portfolio Management, Finance & Control, Risk and Investor Relations. Each department has a fixed point of contact in your team.

In addition to your managerial role, you actively participate in the team. You are substantively involved in more complex issues, think along about model choices and AI applications and are a sparring partner for your team members on a technical level. You'll work closely with the Data Engineering team, who manage the data infrastructure your team builds on. You report to the head of Portfolio Management.

Specifically, you will work on:

• Monitoring and improving the reporting environment – from daily standard reports to complex analysis for investors
• Actively participate in the design, maintenance and improvement of reports, analyses, models and AI applications
• Managing, coaching and developing the team members
• Managing the request flow from the organization and monitoring prioritization
• Stakeholder management towards department heads and the MT
• Structurally embedding collaboration with Data Engineering
• Thinking about the further development of the team and the reporting environment

Must-haves:

• 8+ years of relevant work experience
• Experience building and managing a reporting environment for professional users
• Solid technical background that allows you to build and assess models yourself
• Experience in managing teams of specialists
• Experience in applying AI tooling to business issues
• Academic working and thinking level, preferably in a quantitative direction (mathematics, econometrics, computer science or similar)
• Excellent command of the Dutch language

Nice-to-haves:

• Experience in financial services or the mortgage market
