Job summary

New Skills is seeking an experienced Junior Partner, Counsel or Partner to build and lead a Dutch corporate practice with an international client base. You will own client relationships, originate work, and shape the strategic direction of the practice while collaborating with tax, litigation and advisory specialists.

You bring a strong background in Dutch corporate and company law, 10+ years of relevant experience, and a track record of cross-border advisory.

Qualifications

  • Strong background in Dutch corporate and company law.
  • Experience advising boards, shareholders and international businesses.
  • Broad corporate advisory experience beyond transactional M&A.
  • Ability to independently lead complex matters and senior client relationships.
  • Proven business development and originating work.
  • Established professional network and demonstrable book of business.
  • Ambition to recruit and develop lawyers as the practice grows.
  • Commercial, entrepreneurial and forward-looking mindset.

Responsibilities

  • Lead development of the Corporate practice and position the offering.
  • Build and convert opportunities within the international client base.
  • Develop new client relationships and generate additional revenue.
  • Grow your own client portfolio within the firm.
  • Mentor and develop junior lawyers and staff.
  • Collaborate with tax, litigation and compliance teams.
  • Identify future team needs and recruit accordingly.
  • Contribute to wider commercial and strategic firm development.
