BlockTech in Amsterdam is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to take technical ownership of our core trading systems, including positions, PnL, instruments, and the data flowing between them. You will architect real-time services for cross-exchange throughput, own end-to-end venue integrations, and drive correctness and performance under load.

Mentor junior engineers, set coding standards, and help shape the scale-up as we expand into new markets, with a strong bonus program and relocation

Qualifications

• 5+ years of commercial software engineering experience.
• Experience with Rust and Python in production systems.
• Experience building low-latency, high-throughput, or distributed systems.

Responsibilities

• Own position, PnL, instruments, hedging, and data flows across venues.
• Architect real-time services for cross-exchange throughput and reliability.
• Lead venue integrations end-to-end across protocol, account model, settlement, reconciliation, and surveillance.
• Mentor junior engineers and set technical direction for the team.
