Job summary

Storio group, based in Amsterdam, seeks a Principal Product Security Engineer to shape security at the intersection of Product and Application Security. You will influence engineering decisions, lead secure-by-design practices, and guide AI adoption in security across the platform.

You will collaborate with engineers, architects, and product teams to embed security into every layer of the ecommerce stack, while mentoring Security Champions and driving automation.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in Product Security, Application Security, or Security Engineering.
• Strong experience in security architecture and threat modelling.
• Deep knowledge of application/API security, secure development practices, and cloud-native systems.
• Experience embedding security controls into engineering workflows and SBOMs.
• Excellent communicator who can influence engineers and senior leaders.
• Interest in AI security and leveraging AI tools to advance security engineering.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with engineers, architects, and product teams to turn security challenges into pragmatic solutions.
• Mentor engineers and Security Champions to embed security in engineering culture.
• Build and enable security automation to improve outcomes while reducing friction for teams.
• Lead threat modelling and security architecture reviews for key products and initiatives.
• Experiment with AI tools to automate security workflows and boost productivity.
