Job summary

Kyndryl Nederland B.V. is looking for an IT Platform Engineer to join the team delivering and operating the Enterprise Data Lake for a major bank.

You will develop and implement functionality in a cloud-based data platform, collaborating with engineers, sysadmins and security professionals to ensure scalability, reliability, and security. You will apply DevOps, CI/CD, SOLID, and design patterns, build data platforms in Azure, mentor colleagues, and contribute to a culture of ownership,

Qualifications

Strong experience in object-oriented programming, analysis and design (Python preferred).
Application of SOLID principles and design patterns.
Strong understanding of the incremental software development cycle, DevOps and CI/CD.

Responsibilities

Develop and deliver robust, secure, high-quality solutions in a cloud-based environment.
Advocate and apply best practices in software engineering, including SOLID principles, design patterns and domain-driven design (DDD).
Partner with Product Owners, Architects and IT stakeholders to align technical strategy with business objectives.
Build and maintain scalable data platforms in Azure with the engineering team.
Implement DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines to accelerate delivery.
Ensure code quality through automated testing frameworks (e.g. Pytest, mocking).
Support and mentor team members, fostering a culture of ownership, innovation and continuous improvement.
