Job summary

Lonza Geleen is seeking a Principal Scientist Bioanalytics to lead the development and execution of dedicated (Bio)analytical methods within the Analytical Development Team, ensuring QC alignment and project success.

You will supervise new team members, collaborate with internal stakeholders and clients, and contribute to pre-validation studies, SOP creation, and transfer of validated methods to QC. A GMP mindset and strong communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• PhD and years of experience in analytical development.
• Expertise in Bioassays for mRNA-LNP.
• Experience with flow cytometry and ELISA.
• Knowledge of ICH and USP guidelines.
• Aseptic cellular work experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop and transfer bioanalytical methods for product development and QC.
• Plan and document pre-validation studies per regulatory requirements.
• Author SOPs and support cross-department documents.
• Train colleagues and transfer validated methods to QC.
• Perform routine testing for development campaigns and stability.
• Represent the Analytical Development department as SME with stakeholders and clients.
