Job summary

Van Oord is seeking a 1st Backhoe Operator to operate the backhoe on board, ensuring safe execution, proper procedures, and equipment upkeep. You will work with the Barge Master to keep production safe and efficient, guiding the crew and maintaining an overview on deck.

You bring experience from a backhoe role, take responsibility, and collaborate well with others. The position offers a 5 weeks on/5 weeks off rotation, a 12-hour watch system, and opportunities for development in an international

Qualifications

• Experience as a 2nd Backhoe Operator.
• Knowledge of hydraulic, electrical and mechanical systems.
• Experience with heavy equipment and heavy loads.

Responsibilities

• Operate the backhoe safely on board.
• Guide crew during operations and maintain focus.
• Coordinate maintenance and repairs on deck and safety equipment.
• Work with the Barge Master to keep production running smoothly.
