Job summary

Allseas is seeking a Lead Engineer to join the Automation Team in Delft, Netherlands. You will serve as the technical and organizational glue, driving alignment across engineers, projects, and stakeholders while shaping the long-term automation strategy.

The role focuses on enabling teams to perform at their best, fostering collaboration, and delivering technical excellence in complex offshore systems such as Jacket Lift, anchor positioning, and automated pipelay facilities.

Qualifications

• Proven track record in technical leadership and team building.
• Experience with multidisciplinary engineering systems and stakeholder alignment.
• Strong communication and mentoring skills.
• Background in automation, control systems, PLCs, or systems engineering is a strong advantage.

Responsibilities

• Drive technical ownership and engineering excellence within the Automation Team.
• Act as the primary connector between team members, disciplines, projects, and stakeholders.
• Coach, mentor, and support engineers in their technical and personal development.
• Create clarity, alignment, and focus on multidisciplinary engineering activities.
• Encourage curiosity, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement.
• Help define and maintain the long-term automation strategy and roadmap.
• Guide technical decision-making and engineering standards.
• Support project teams in resolving complex system and integration challenges.
• Identify opportunities for innovation, standardization, and framework development.
