Job summary
Royal IHC is seeking a System Architect / Lead Engineer for autonomous maritime solutions. You will define future architectures, roadmaps and development strategies for autonomous and semi-autonomous vessels, working with executives, engineering teams and partners.
You will bridge software, controls, mechanical and OT, drive innovation with collaborations, and translate strategic opportunities into practical concepts with real-world value for defence, offshore, dredging and mining sectors.
Qualifications
- Strong systems engineering mindset.
- Experience with complex physical systems and machinery.
- Experience working with software-intensive systems.
- Knowledge across robotics, autonomy, AI and data systems.
- Ability to work across engineering disciplines.
Responsibilities
- Define the Future Architecture by leading high-level system architectures and technology roadmaps for autonomous maritime solutions.
- Bridge Engineering Disciplines by connecting software, control systems, electrical/mechanical systems and OT.
- Drive Innovation Through Partnerships with technology companies, suppliers and customers; perform technical due diligence.
- Influence Business Strategy through portfolio development, business cases and autonomy strategy.
