GCS Recruitment is seeking a Lead Analytics Engineer to join our growing data and analytics function in the Netherlands. This role shapes data transformation standards, develops scalable data products, and helps build a robust analytics engineering capability across a complex organisation.

You will work closely with data, analytics and business stakeholders to transform raw data into trusted, reusable datasets that support strategic decision-making.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in Analytics Engineering or related data role.
• Strong SQL and production-grade data model design.
• Proven dbt experience in production environments.
• Experience with cloud data platforms and modern data stack.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain high-quality datasets for reporting and decision-making.
• Build scalable data models and transformation pipelines.
• Partner with stakeholders to define data requirements and translate into data products.
• Define analytics engineering standards, best practices and governance.
• Own and evolve the analytics engineering technical roadmap.
• Lead cross-functional initiatives focused on data quality and scalability.
• Mentor analytics engineers and grow the data community.
• Collaborate with engineering, analytics and business teams to improve data usability.
