Job summary

KLM Engineering Maintenance (KLM E M) seeks a Lead Aircraft Maintenance Technician to oversee hangar and line maintenance, ensuring aircraft are safe and ready on time. You will manage a team of technicians, inspect and approve releases, and contribute to continuous improvement in safety and efficiency.

Ideal candidates bring Part 66 AML licence, strong English skills, and a proactive, ownership-driven mindset to lead daily operations across multiple aircraft types in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• Lead Ground Engineer with Part 66 AML licence (B.1 or B.2).
• Strong leadership to manage technicians and ensure timely aircraft readiness.
• Good command of written and spoken English; openness to process improvements.

Responsibilities

• supervise maintenance, inspection, modification and repair work in hangars
• provide technical supervision and release aircraft with CST/CAS when safe to fly
• develop teammates and ensure adherence to safety regulations (SMS)
