Job summary

KLM is seeking a Licensed Engine Mechanic to maintain, overhaul, and modify aircraft engines in the Engine Services division. You will assess, disassemble, inspect, replace parts, and prepare engines for shipment, while supervising junior mechanics and ensuring safety and regulatory compliance.

You will work in a team within the MRO department, handle multiple engine types, and communicate in technical English.

Qualifications

• Authorized to perform maintenance on aircraft engines.
• Able to work independently and sign off on completed work.
• Speaks and understands technical English well.
• At least three years of experience as an engine mechanic.
• Familiar with engine types CF M56-7B, CF6, GEnx, LEAP.

Responsibilities

• Disassemble damaged engines, inspect components, determine replacements and materials.
• Test engines for internal damage and identify anomalies.
• Ship repaired engines after checks and paperwork.
• Supervise and mentor junior engine mechanics to work independently.
• Report daily to team lead and lead mechanic; perform administrative tasks; follow safety regulations.
