Job summary

Gramian Consulting is seeking a Lead AI Solution Architect to define the end-to-end technical blueprint for enterprise AI initiatives within the insurance sector. You will design LLM architectures, orchestration, and secure cloud foundations on AWS, aligning with governance and security standards.

Qualifications

• At least 10 years of experience in solution/software/cloud architecture or senior technical roles.
• Proven experience designing enterprise-scale AI architectures on AWS.
• Strong knowledge of LLM architectures, orchestration layers, and AI integration patterns.
• Experience leading architectural governance and producing design standards.
• Fluent English and Dutch.

Responsibilities

• Design the end-to-end architecture for enterprise AI solutions.

• Ensure architecture aligns with security, cloud, data handling and governance standards.
• Lead technical discovery workshops with business, architecture, security and engineering.
• Produce Architecture Design Documents (ADDs) and technical blueprints.
• Provide continuous architectural guidance to development squads.
• Review designs for consistency with approved patterns.
• Present architectural, security and scalability decisions to stakeholders.
• Evaluate third-party AI platforms and support buy-versus-build decisions.

About The Role

Our client is a Big4 Consultancy group that works with leading financial institutions on AI-driven transformation, automation, advanced analytics, and financial crime prevention. Their work spans intelligent fraud detection, AML/KYC modernization, autonomous workflows, enterprise AI platforms, and the secure industrialization of AI in highly regulated environments. We are looking for a Lead AI Solution Architect to define the end-to-end technical blueprint for enterprise AI initiatives within the insurance sector. The role focuses on LLM architecture, orchestration, cloud infrastructure, enterprise integration, security, scalability, and technical governance, with AWS as the primary cloud environment. The successful candidate will work closely with development squads, enterprise architects, security teams, and senior client stakeholders to ensure that AI solutions are technically sound, compliant, scalable, and aligned with the broader technology landscape.

CONTRACT:

Contractor assignment, expected October 2026 - July 2027, with extension

COMMITMENT:

Full-time

LOCATIONS:

EU-based, preferably the Netherlands or close; Occasional visits required.

PROCESS:

Initial qualification followed by technical and client interviews

• Select appropriate LLMs, orchestration frameworks, databases, and infrastructure components
• Define secure and scalable LLM orchestration and enterprise integration patterns
• Ensure architecture aligns with enterprise security, cloud, data handling, and governance standards
• Lead technical discovery workshops with business, architecture, security, and engineering stakeholders
• Produce comprehensive Architecture Design Documents (ADDs) and technical blueprints
• Provide continuous architectural guidance to development squads during implementation
• Review technical designs and ensure consistency with approved architecture patterns
• Present and justify architectural, security, and scalability decisions to senior and executive stakeholders
• Evaluate third-party AI platforms, tools, and APIs and support buy-versus-build decisions

Requirements

• At least 10 years of professional experience across solution architecture, software architecture, cloud architecture, or comparable senior technical roles
• Proven experience designing and governing enterprise-scale AI and application architectures on AWS
• Strong understanding of LLM architectures, orchestration layers, and AI integration patterns
• Experience designing secure, scalable, and highly available enterprise applications
• Strong knowledge of enterprise integration, APIs, data platforms, security, and cloud infrastructure
• Proven experience producing architecture documentation and technical design standards
• Experience providing architectural leadership across multiple engineering squads
• Fluent professional Dutch and English
