Job summary

Enjins, an AI-focused engineering partner, is seeking a Lead AI Engineer to own client engagements and architect solutions that scale to production. You will mentor engineers, shape the team, and guide data and ML platform standards across multiple client projects.

You’ll own roadmaps, lead MLOps architectures, and translate complex tech decisions for non-technical stakeholders as you collaborate with cross-functional teams. This role is based in Utrecht with a hybrid setup.

Qualifications

• 5+ years building and scaling data & AI solutions in production environments.
• Strong software engineering fundamentals; production-grade code and infrastructure know-how.
• Mastery of at least one major cloud platform (AWS, Azure, GCP) and experience leading MLOps/LLMOps architectures.
• Proven experience taking LLM-based or agentic systems to production.
• Experience mentoring engineers, overseeing delivery, and managing client accounts.
• Ability to translate technical complexity into clear decisions for non-technical stakeholders.
• Fluent in English and eligible to work in the Netherlands.

Responsibilities

• Architect AI roadmaps with client leadership and own them through to production.
• Create and implement AI solution architectures to deliver roadmaps.
• Set and uphold Data Platform and MLOps standards across your client portfolio.
• Mentor engineers and participate in hiring, team growth, and accounts.
• Push engineering practice forward, sharing what works and elevating the team.
• Elevate our product mindset to ensure we build the right things, not just more things.
