Job description

Job description

In the fast-growing small satellite market, ISISPACE is looking for a motivated Labs and Technical Facilities Manager. In this role, you will support the day-to-day operation of our development and production laboratories, cleanroom, and environmental test facilities. You will act as the first point of contact for the safe use and management of hazardous materials. You will also be responsible for managing the test equipment pool, coordinating staff training, and ensuring the maintenance and calibration of equipment and facilities.

In addition, you may support project teams during test execution, coordinate access to external technical facilities, and contribute to long-term planning for future facility investments. This role requires close collaboration with ISISPACE’s engineering teams, technician teams, and lab coordinators. ISISPACE currently operates from two manufacturing locations in the Netherlands, with the main site located in Delft.

Your main responsibilities
  • Coordinating the validation, repair, and scheduled maintenance of cleanrooms, test facilities, and equipment at both main and external sites.
  • Managing user planning for cleanrooms and test facilities.
  • Coordinating change requests, development, maintenance, and supply needs for laboratories and technical facilities.
  • Developing and maintaining policies for calibration, maintenance, and proper use of laboratories, technical facilities, cleanrooms, and environmental test equipment.
  • Implementing the RI&E (Risk Assessment & Evaluation) related to laboratory and facilities activities.
  • Managing the equipment pool and supporting users.
  • Reviewing and registering the use of hazardous materials, and developing related policies where needed.
  • Organising cleanroom and ESD lab training.
  • Contributing to equipment and facility investment plans.
  • Supporting test setup development and test automation activities.

For all coordinating activities, you will work closely with the lab coordinators.
