Job summary

MAT Research in Leiden is seeking a Logistics & Maintenance Manager to ensure smooth lab operations, cold-chain integrity, and facility oversight at Leiden Bio Science Park. You will bridge supply chain precision with hands-on lab maintenance, manage LN2 infrastructure, equipment calibration, and vendor relations to keep a small but impactful biotech team running safely and efficiently.

Qualifications

• Background in Life Sciences, Biotechnology, Supply Chain, or Facility Management.
• Understanding biosafety standards and handling temperature-sensitive biological materials.
• Experience with cold-chain logistics (+2°C to +8°C) and Dry Ice/LN2 shipping protocols.
• Proven record managing suppliers, procurement, and facility maintenance workflows.

Responsibilities

• Manage international and domestic cold-chain shipments and customs.
• Oversee inventory, receiving, inspection and storage of lab supplies.
• Manage LN2 infrastructure, supply levels, safety protocols, and storage.
• Coordinate lab equipment maintenance, calibration schedules, servicing, and repairs.
• Manage vendor relationships and SLAs for lab facilities and office supplies.
• Oversee day-to-day office and facility upkeep at Leiden Bio Science Park.
