Job summary

Chane operates a Botlek Terminal where a modern laboratory underpins the safety and quality of liquid bulk products. As a Lab Technician you will analyze samples, verify results, and support production and sales with clear, practical recommendations.

You join a close-knit team of three; both starters and experienced professionals are welcome. The role offers a pathway for development through training and the Chane Academy, with a competitive CAO-based salary and benefits.

Qualifications

Completed HLO degree or MBO 4 qualification in Laboratory Technology with relevant work experience.
Laboratory experience is an advantage but not required.
Preferably experience with GC, specific gravity, distillation and flash point equipment.
Knowledge of ASTM, IP or UOP methods is a plus.
Experience with WinLims, Word and Excel is a plus.

Responsibilities

Carry out and assess analyses on various products.
Work closely with Operations, Production and Sales to ensure quality results.
Interpreting and reporting analysis results.
Carry out trial distillations based on customer requests.
Advise on product specifications and quality-related matters.
Prepare laboratory reports for Sales, CSCC and Customs.
Check, maintain and calibrate analytical equipment.
Participate in production meetings and share knowledge with colleagues.
Contribute to a safe, clean and well-organised laboratory environment.
Work continuously with colleagues to improve quality, safety and ways of working.
