Job summary

SCIL Nanoimprint Solutions, based at Eindhoven's High Tech Campus, is seeking a hands-on Lab Technician to prepare and produce chemical products safely and on time. You’ll follow recipes and SOPs, plan production batches, manage stock, and support R&D with new formulations while improving processes and logistics.

You’ll work in a high-tech environment with English as daily language; Dutch is a plus. The role is on-site, full-time, with opportunities for growth and a permanent contract.

Qualifications

• Educational background as described: MBO level in Laboratory Technology or Chemical Technology or related field.
• Languages: English at B2 level; Dutch advantageous.
• Chemical handling, labeling and storage knowledge.
• Hands-on mindset with willingness to improve processes.
• Attention to accuracy and clear reporting.
• Familiarity with chemical stock, orders, shipments and related admin systems is a plus.
• Adherence to HSE rules and maintaining a clean, organized workplace.

Responsibilities

• Plan, schedule, prioritize, and execute production batches to hit targets.
• Drive process improvements across production, logistics, documentation, and workflow.
• Own inbound and outbound logistics: receive, check, label, and store chemicals safely.

• Support R&D to scale: test formulations and translate outputs into production practices.
• Provide hands-on support to keep operations running smoothly.

In this versatile, hands‑on role you are at the heart of our day‑to‑day operations. You prepare and produce chemical products according to recipes and SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures), plan and execute production, keep materials and goods flowing, and support R&D with new formulations. You enjoy variety, work safely and accurately, and actively look for ways to improve how we work.

Your mission

As a Lab Technician

you ensure that our chemical products are prepared and produced safely, consistently, and on time, while maintaining an efficient and well‑organised logistics flow. You support continuous improvement and help translate new R&D “recipes” into practical production steps.

Here’s how you’ll contribute:

• Prepare and produce safely: Prepare and produce chemical products strictly in line with recipes/SOPs and all safety requirements.
• Run production batches: Plan, schedule, prioritize, and execute production batches to hit output, quality, and timing targets.
• Drive process improvements: Support continuous improvement initiatives across production, logistics, documentation, and workflow.
• Own inbound and outbound logistics: Receive, check, label, and ensure safe and compliant storage of chemicals.
• Keep stock under control: Monitor inventory levels and place orders for chemicals and consumables with suppliers in a timely way.
• Support R&D to scale: Prepare and test new formulations, document results, and help translate R&D outputs into robust production practices.
• Be the hands‑on problem solver: Provide hands‑on support where needed to keep operations running smoothly.

Your expertise and qualities

We’re looking for an experienced technician with a proven ability to develop high‑end systems in a high‑tech environment:

• Educational background: MBO level education in Laboratory Technology, Chemical Technology, Process Technology or a related field.
• Languages: English at B2 level; Dutch nice to have.
• Chemical foundation: Comfortable working with chemicals and understanding safe handling, labelling and storage.
• Hands‑on mindset: You like doing, building, fixing and improving, and you do not mind switching between tasks.
• Accuracy: Strong observation skills and the ability to record and report clearly (written).
• Logistics affinity: Basic familiarity with the logistics handling of chemicals, including stock, orders, shipments, and related administrative systems, is a plus.
• Safety first: You follow HSE (Health, Safety & Environment) rules strictly and keep the workplace clean and organised.

Nice to have: Basic knowledge of quality systems (or willingness to learn) and/or BHV - Bedrijfshulpverlening (or willingness to obtain). Next to that, you are flexible and have the ambition to grow with the organisation and take on more responsibility over time.
