Job summary

Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicine in Leiden is seeking a Lab Support Specialist to manage equipment SAP master data and document control, ensuring PDMA readiness for testing and calibration. You will coordinate maintenance plans, issue purchase orders and be the main site contact for pipette maintenance with external partners.

You will also contribute to SAP Transcend testing and LEAN initiatives while ensuring cGMP compliance and cross-functional collaboration within a global pharma

Qualifications

• 40 hours per week availability
• Willing to work in Leiden
• Technical English proficiency
• MLO/MBO/HBO degree
• 2–4 years lab support experience
• Experience in GMP/cGMP environment
• Proficient in Microsoft Office
• Experience with SAP/COMET/TruVault/SharePoint/SAM

Responsibilities

• Manage SAP master data for lab equipment, including maintenance updates and PO creation
• Act as Document Management SME, routing documents, performing gap analyses and updating lab docs
• Oversee site pipette maintenance, calibrations and validations with external partners
• Support SAP Transcend project by testing SAP master data solutions across J&J network
• Maintain cGMP compliance and contribute to LEAN improvement goals

As A Lab Support Specialist you must meet the following requirements:

• You are available for 40 hours per week
• You are willing to work in Leiden
• You speak English at a technical level
• You have an MLO, MBO or Hbo degree
• You have two to four years of relevant laboratory support experience
• You have experience working in a GMP or cGMP environment
• You have experience with Microsoft Office
• You have experience with SAP, COMET, TruVault, SharePoint, or SAM ticketing systems

what will you do

As a Lab Support Specialist, you will act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for equipment-related SAP master data and document management. You will coordinate equipment introductions, manage periodic maintenance plans, and oversee purchase orders. You will also serve as the primary site contact for pipette maintenance, calibration, and validation with external partners. Additionally, you will support the global SAP Transcend project and contribute to our team's LEAN and compliance initiatives.

• Manage SAP master data for lab equipment, including periodic maintenance updates, equipment replacements, and creating Purchase Orders.
• Act as Document Management SME. Route documents, conduct periodic reviews, gap analyses, and update general lab documentation.
• Oversee site pipette maintenance, calibrations, and validations in coordination with external partners.
• Support the SAP Transcend project by testing SAP master data solutions across the J&J network.
• Maintain cGMP compliance and actively contribute to the team's LEAN continuous improvement goals.
