Job summary

The Social Hub in Delft is looking for a Kitchen Porter to keep our kitchen spotless, safe and ready for action. You’ll join a friendly, multi-national team and jump in where needed, from washing dishes to organizing stock. No experience?

No problem—we’ll train you to stand tall in a busy environment. You’ll contribute to a smooth workflow behind the scenes, follow hygiene rules, and help maintain clean equipment and spaces.

Qualifications

• No experience is required; we’ll teach you everything.
• Some experience in cleaning or support roles is a plus.
• Able to stand for extended periods and work in a busy kitchen.
• Strong team player with a positive, flexible attitude.

Responsibilities

• Wash dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment quickly and thoroughly.
• Keep floors, surfaces, and bins clean according to routines.
• Ensure kitchen areas, storage, and prep spaces stay spotless.
• Support kitchen team with basic tasks as needed.
• Follow hygiene and food safety rules.
• Handle cleaning materials safely and report hazards.

What You’ll Do

• Wash dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment quickly and thoroughly
• Keep floors, surfaces, and bins clean following set routines
• Make sure all kitchen areas, including storage and prep spaces, stay spotless
• Help the kitchen team with basic tasks when needed – from unloading deliveries to organizing stock
• Keep kitchen tools and equipment where they belong to support an efficient workflow
• Follow hygiene and food safety rules like HACCP
• Handle cleaning materials and gear safely and responsibly
• Spot and report any issues or hazards right away

What You’ll Have

• Some experience in a cleaning or support role is a plus
• Comfortable working in a busy, active environment on your feet

• Strong attention to detail and a sense of pride in cleanliness
