Job summary

Yokogawa's Global SCADA Center in Amersfoort is seeking a Junior Software Developer to contribute to design, implementation and maintenance of our SCADA application within an international team.

You will work from our Amersfoort office with hybrid working arrangements, collaborating with project teams worldwide and translating user requirements into high-quality software solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or equivalent degree in Computer Science or related field.
• Interest in process industry, automation, and SCADA.
• Programming knowledge in Java and C.
• Knowledge of software development methods.
• Background in Robotics, Embedded Systems, or Automotive is a plus.

The team:

As a Software Developer, you will be part of the development team at Yokogawa’s Global SCADA Center in Amersfoort, our European Headquarters. You will work from our office in Amersfoort and contribute to international developments and meetings.

The role:

You will be active in product development and support, contributing to the design, implementation, and maintenance of our SCADA application as part of an international development team. Translating user requirements, new technologies, and project plans into state-of-the-art, high-quality products is essential to strengthening our position as a market front-runner.

The Global SCADA Center supports Yokogawa project teams worldwide that use our product in customer solutions.

As a Software Developer, you will** :**

• Design and implement customer requirements into new functionality, either through new products or adjustments to existing products;

• Generate ideas, concepts, and specifications for new products based on market needs and project feedback;

• Support the technical and functional specification of new products;

• Provide high-end support for company activities involving worldwide project teams that use these products in their projects.

What you will need to succeed:

• You have a strong interest in the cutting edge of the process industry, computerization, and SCADA;

• You have programming knowledge of Java and C;

• You have knowledge of software development methods;

• You have completed a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Technical Informatics, or a comparable field.

• A background or strong interest in Robotics, Embedded Systems, or the Automotive industry is considered a plus.

Additionally:

• You are fluent in written and spoken English;

• You are a team player who can represent Yokogawa and its solutions;

• You are a good communicator and can communicate clearly based on your knowledge and experience.

• You are located in the Netherlands.
