Harlem Next in Amsterdam invites a passionate Junior Payment Operations Specialist to join our fast-paced fintech team. You will be the left-hand of the Payment Operations Manager, ensuring smooth payment processes and effective collaboration with partners.

This role rewards curiosity, problem-solving, and proactive learning across payment ecosystems. You will monitor payments, assist with risk controls, and help resolve customer inquiries while contributing to process improvements and

Qualifications

• ≥1 year of experience in payments is required.
• Passion for payments and willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day operation of the Payment Ecosystem with internal and external partners.
• Monitor and analyze payment and risk performance; identify irregularities and trends.
• Ensure payment and risk processes and guidelines are followed.
• Investigate and resolve payment-related issues and customer complaints.
• Support fraud prevention, dispute management, refunds and blacklisting.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of payment processes and provider performance.
• Keep up-to-date with payment services regulations.
• Translate team objectives into personal growth goals.

What are you going to do?

As a Junior Payment Operations Specialist, you won't just be another team member – you'll be a vital part of our success story. You'll be the left-hand of our Payment Operations Manager to ensure smooth payment processes.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Support the smooth day-to-day operation of the Payment Ecosystem, working closely with internal stakeholders and external payment partners;

• Monitor and analyse payment and risk performance, identifying irregularities, trends, and potential issues;

• Ensure payment and risk processes and guidelines are followed;

• Investigate and resolve payment-related issues and customer complaints;

• Support fraud prevention and dispute management, including dispute defence, refunds and blacklisting;

• Contribute to the continuous improvement of payment processes, systems and provider performance;

• Keeping up-to-date with payment services regulations;

• Translating team objectives into personal goals for growth.
