Job summary

EMHA seeks a Junior On-site Machining Technician to travel between shipyards, bridge sites, and power plants in the Netherlands and abroad. You’ll operate portable machines on location, learn milling and turning techniques, and grow into an independent on-site specialist driving precise metalworking projects.

You’ll start with guided work, then take on independent tasks on varied sites, embracing travel, teamwork, and hands-on problem solving.

Qualifications

• Practical level 3 or 4 (MBO) preferred with technical insight or metalworking background.
• Curiosity and eagerness to learn—experience preferred but not required.
• Flexibility to occasionally work evenings or weekends, in consultation.
• Adventurous mindset—you enjoy discovering new places and diverse projects.

Responsibilities

• Machine metal on location at shipyards, bridges and power plants in the Netherlands and abroad.
• Learn mobile milling, boring, turning, drilling, threading, and flange facing step by step.
• Work with teams or independently on-site, adapting to different sites and challenges.
