As a Junior/Medior Full-Stack Ruby Developer, you will develop new features for Caren. You will be involved throughout the entire development process, from the initial idea to technical implementation and deployment. You won't just write code; you'll actively contribute ideas on how we can best support our users. Caren is a platform that handles sensitive healthcare data and is used daily by nearly one million people. That requires software that is reliable, secure, and scalable. You will continuously work on solutions that not only perform well today but are also ready for the future of healthcare in the Netherlands.
Develop new features that help clients, family members, and healthcare professionals collaborate more effectively.
Take responsibility for the entire development process, from user experience and backend to frontend and release.
Safeguard the quality, security, and privacy of our software, ensuring sensitive healthcare data remains well protected.
Continuously improve the performance and scalability of Caren for its nearly one million users.
In time, participate in the on-call rotation to help ensure the platform remains available for our users.
Work closely with colleagues within the Caren team and across Nedap in Healthcare to ensure our solutions integrate seamlessly.
As a Junior/Medior Full-Stack Ruby Developer you will become part of the Caren team within Nedap in Healthcare, a close-knit team that is always ready to support one another. Together, we develop a platform that enables clients, their personal networks, and healthcare professionals to collaborate with ease. We combine the autonomy of a small product team with the knowledge, expertise, and impact of Nedap in Healthcare. You'll have plenty of freedom to take initiative, develop new ideas, and build the best possible solutions together with your colleagues.
As a Junior/Medior Full-Stack Ruby Developer at Nedap, you’ll make a valuable contribution to our mission: making people happier and more successful in their professional lives. The salary range for this role is between € 3.900 and € 4.700 gross per month based on full-time employment (38 hours) and depends on relevant knowledge and experience. In addition to your salary, you’ll receive a thirteenth month, a solid pension plan, and a profit‑sharing scheme with the possibility to become a Nedap shareholder. You are a Junior/Medior Full-Stack Ruby Developer who enjoys taking ownership and gets energized by building software that truly makes a difference. You are not intimidated by complex technical challenges related to performance, scalability, and reliability. You're curious about new technologies, continuously invest in your own development, and enjoy sharing your knowledge with colleagues.
You work independently, take initiative, and collaborate easily with colleagues from different disciplines to create the best solutions. Naturally, you have a strong awareness of information security and privacy and contribute to maintaining a reliable platform. In time, you will also participate in the on‑call rotation.
You are available for 32–38 hours per week. Hybrid (remote) working is common within Nedap, and together with your team you coordinate your working hours to ensure a healthy work‑life balance. You are present at least once a month on our campus in Groenlo.
