Holland America Line Inc. invites applicants for a Junior Engineer role via CSMART in the Netherlands.

You will assist in cruise ship maneuvering simulations, mooring analyses and hydrodynamic studies, growing expertise across multiple simulation disciplines while collaborating with experienced engineers. The ideal candidate is a recent MSc graduate with a strong fundamentals in coastal/ocean/civil engineering, passion for learning, and fluency in English, with hands-on exposure to maritime

Qualifications

Recent MSc graduate with up to two years' relevant coastal/ocean civil engineering experience.
Internship or graduate project in mooring analysis or hydrodynamics advantageous.
Experience with maritime software such as Optimoor or DHI is desirable.

Responsibilities

Prepare simulator exercises and operate Wartsila simulator software and data collection tools.
Prepare berth, vessel, and wave models for static and dynamic mooring analyses using Optimoor and DHI MIKE Ports.
Conduct static and dynamic mooring analyses for cruise ship simulations and prepare technical reports.
Create 2D/3D hydrodynamic flow models with DHI MIKE, including tidal current atlases.
Analyze metocean data, including tides, currents, and waves, and report findings.
