Job summary

Del Monte Corporation in Rotterdam is seeking a Junior Key Account Manager to support the German market from our Rotterdam office. You will manage daily orders, coordinate with logistics, and build structured plans for key customers.

You will negotiate terms to assure profitability, handle claims, and maintain accurate sales data and reporting to drive growth in our Fresh and Prepared Foods segments.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of experience as Fruits Sales Representative in a fruits/vegetables distribution company.
• Fluent in written and spoken German and English.
• Experienced ERP user and MS Office proficient.
• Solid marketing and negotiating techniques knowledge.
• Fast learner with a passion for sales and a results-oriented mindset.
• Knowledge of the German market and retailers.

Responsibilities

• Maintain proactive communication with German customers to achieve agreed objectives.
• Accurately take daily orders from customers and input them into the ERP system.
• Address and resolve customer claims and returns promptly and professionally.
• Negotiate terms with existing and new customers to ensure profitability.
• Maintain records of sales activities and create/update internal sales data for reporting.
• Coordinate logistics with ports and partners to ensure timely delivery.
• Assess customer needs and tailor solutions accordingly.
• Manage daily/weekly stock control for service providers in the supply chain.
• Develop annual visit plans for existing and potential customers with documentation.

Del Monte (Germany) and Del Monte (Holland) are seeking a Junior Key Account Manager for its Sales Department. Depending on the selected candidate, this position will be based in Hamburg (Germany) or Rotterdam (the Netherlands).

Reporting to the Commercial Director based in our office in Hamburg, Germany.

Key Responsibilities:

• Customer Relationship: Maintain consistent and proactive communication with selected customers in Germany to achieve agreed OI.
• Order Management: Accurately take daily orders from customers and input them into the ERP system.
• Claims Handling: Address and resolve customer claims and returns promptly and professionally.
• Negotiate the terms and conditions with existing new customers to assure profitability.
• Reporting and documentation: Maintain accurate records of sales activities, customer interaction. Create and update internal sales data (Excel sheets), in order to ensure accurate tracking and reporting.
• Logistics Coordination: Regularly communicate with ports and logistics partners to ensure timely and efficient delivery.
• Customer needs Assessment: Conduct assessments to understand customer needs and tailor solution accordingly.
• Daily/weekly stock control for all relevant service providers in the supply chain.
• Customer relationship management: actively build an annual plan/schedule for visits to existing & potential customers with transparent visit report documentation and to be recorded in a shared file
