Job summary

Destinus, an international aerospace and defense company, invites a Junior HR in Hengelo to join the People team. You’ll support recruitment, prepare contracts, and handle employee administration while gaining broad exposure across the employee journey.

You’ll work with the Talent Acquisition team and HR Business Partner in the Netherlands, coordinating interviews, managing documentation, and ensuring a smooth onboarding experience for new colleagues.

Qualifications

• 0 to 2 years of professional HR experience.
• Degree or education in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or related field.
• Fluency in Dutch and English, written and spoken.
• Experience with recruitment processes, HR administration, contracts or employee documentation.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Structured working style with ability to manage several priorities.
• Good communication and confident interaction with candidates, employees, and managers.
• Comfort with HR systems and digital tools; ability to learn new platforms quickly.
• Knowledge of Dutch employment practices is a plus.
• Careful and responsible handling of confidential information.

Responsibilities

• Support the Talent Acquisition Specialist in NL through the recruitment process.
• Coordinate interviews and communicate with candidates to ensure a smooth experience.
• Assist the HR Business Partner with day-to-day HR activities and administration.
• Prepare contracts, amendments, letters, and HR documentation accurately.
• Coordinate new joiners and ensure contracts and information are ready before start date.
• Work with Office Manager and teams to prepare for new employees.
• Support offboarding and other lifecycle HR topics.
• Keep personnel files and HR systems up to date.
• Answer general HR questions and route complex topics to the right person.
• Support leave, absence, employee changes, and operations.
• Collaborate with managers and teams to move HR processes forward.
• Assist HR projects and help improve processes as Destinus grows.

What You’ll Do

• Support the Talent Acquisition Specialist in NL throughout the recruitment process, including posting vacancies, reviewing applications, coordinating interviews, and communicating with candidates

• Help keep recruitment processes moving and make sure candidates have a smooth and professional experience from first contact through to offer

• Support the HR Business Partner with day-to-day HR activities and employee-related administration in the Netherlands

• Prepare employment contracts, contract amendments, letters, and other HR documentation accurately and on time

• Coordinate the HR side of new joiners and make sure contracts, employee information, documentation, and other HR requirements are completed and ready before their start date

• Work closely with the Office Manager and other internal teams to make sure everything needed for a new employee is prepared ahead of their arrival

• Support offboarding and other employee lifecycle processes from an HR perspective

• Keep employee information, personnel files, and HR systems accurate and up to date

• Help employees with general HR questions and make sure more complex topics reach the right person within the team

• Support HR processes related to leave, absence, employee changes, and other operational HR topics

• Coordinate with managers, employees, and other teams to collect information and keep HR processes moving

• Support the HR team with ongoing projects and help improve the way we work as Destinus continues to grow

What You’ll Need

• 0 to 2 years of professional experience in HR, recruitment, HR operations, or a similar people-focused role

• A degree or relevant education in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field

• Fluency in both Dutch and English, written and spoken

• Some practical experience with recruitment processes, HR administration, contracts, or employee documentation

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

• A structured way of working and the ability to manage several priorities at the same time

• Good communication skills and confidence interacting with candidates, employees, and managers

• Comfortable working with HR systems and digital tools and able to learn new platforms quickly

• Some knowledge of Dutch employment practices and HR processes is a strong plus

• A careful and responsible approach to handling confidential employee information.
