Job summary

NTT DATA in the Netherlands seeks an IT infrastructure professional to install and maintain server and network equipment on-site at a client facility, ensure correct configuration, testing, and full operability, and keep meticulous documentation and asset inventories.

You will liaise with client IT teams, carriers, and vendors, investigate and resolve technical issues, and apply preventive measures while adhering to safety and quality standards; you’ll contribute to a reliable, mission-critical

Qualifications

• Electrical/telecom/network background or equivalent practical experience.
• Minimum 1 year in a technical support, infrastructure, or data centre role.
• Strong English communication; ability to plan, adapt to priorities; customer-focused.

Responsibilities

• Install and maintain server and network equipment.
• Perform copper and fibre-optic cabling activities.
• Ensure client infrastructure is configured, installed, tested, and fully operational.
• Maintain accurate documentation and asset inventory records.
• Liaise with client IT teams, carriers, vendors, and internal colleagues to expedite diagnosis and resolution of issues.
• Investigate problems relating to systems, processes, and services; assist with corrective measures.
• Adhere to standards to ensure maximum uptime and service reliability.

Key Responsibilities

• Install and maintain server and network equipment.
• Perform copper and fibre-optic cabling activities.
• Ensure that client infrastructure is correctly configured, installed, tested, and fully operational.
• Maintain accurate documentation and asset inventory records.
• Liaise with client IT teams, carriers, vendors, and internal colleagues to expedite the diagnosis and resolution of technical issues.
• Investigate problems relating to systems, processes, and services, and assist with the implementation of corrective and preventive measures.
• Adhere to operational, quality, safety, and security standards to ensure maximum uptime and service reliability.

Required Experience and Qualifications

• Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, Network Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
• Minimum of one year of experience in a similar technical support, infrastructure, or data centre role.
