Job summary

Milliman is expanding its Data & AI consulting team for the Benelux, focusing on modern data solutions, cloud-based applications, and AI-enabled workflows for financial services.

As a Junior to Medior Data & AI Consultant, you will migrate Excel models to cloud platforms, build scalable data pipelines, and collaborate with actuaries, consultants and clients to transform analytics into production-ready solutions.

Qualifications

• Master's degree (or equivalent) in a quantitative/technical field.
• Strong programming skills, preferably Python.
• Solid understanding of data engineering concepts: databases, SQL, data modelling, data structures.
• Experience with cloud platforms, preferably Microsoft Azure.
• Affinity with software engineering best practices: version control, testing, CI/CD.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and ability to work in multidisciplinary teams.
• Fluent in Dutch and English.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain modern data solutions for insurance and financial services clients.
• Migrate analytical and financial models from Excel to cloud platforms, mainly Azure.
• Develop scalable data pipelines and workflows for large datasets.
• Design efficient data structures, databases, and architectures.
• Support AI and machine learning solutions within client environments.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to translate business needs into technical solutions.
• Contribute to software development, automation, testing, and deployment of analytical apps.
• Stay updated with emerging cloud, AI and data engineering technologies.
