Job summary

BCD Meetings & Events is seeking a Junior Controller to support Global Controlling by preparing financial reporting and assisting with client finance tasks. The role is full-time with a hybrid setup in Utrecht, Netherlands, and will involve data consolidation, reporting, and Excel model maintenance.

You will contribute to data accuracy, rate updates, and process improvements, while collaborating with finance and commercial teams.

Qualifications

• University degree or equivalent is required.
• Sound knowledge of Accounting and Finance is required.
• Knowledge of SAP S/4HANA is required.
• Advanced Excel skills including formulas, pivot tables, Power Query and data visualization are a plus.
• Strong verbal and written English communication is required.

Responsibilities

• Manage data collection and review with finance and commercial leaders.
• Create consolidated reporting and distribute it to stakeholders.
• Maintain and update Excel reporting models.
• Update exchange rates and modify programming for improvements as needed.
• Administer data and ensure requests are approved before proceeding.
• Support colleagues with queries and ad hoc requests in the controlling inbox.

Junior Controller

Full time, Hybrid, Utrecht, Netherlands

As a Junior Controller you will support the Controlling department of BCD Meetings & Events, which is responsible for Global Controlling in running their reports and analyzing data. In this role, you will have the primary goal to prepare Financial Reporting and assist with any other client finance tasks. This position supports the manager role.

As a Junior Controller, you will

• Manage data collection process; review data and follow-up as needed within finance and commercial leaders
• Create consolidated reporting and distribute
• Maintain excel reporting model
• Update exchange rates and modifying programming for improvement as needed
• Administer the data and process for ensuring all requests appropriately approved before proceeding
• Manage the controlling inbox; assisting colleagues with queries and ad hoc requests

About You

• University's degree or similar
• Prior experience with a sound knowledge of Accounting and Finance
• Knowledge of SAP S/4HANA
• Knowledge on advance Excel skills, including mastery of advanced formulas, pivot tables. Power Query, and data visualization techniques are also a plus
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English

This position is advertised across multiple European locations. The expected annual gross salary ranges by country are as follows:

• Netherlands: 40,000 - 50,000 EUR

The final salary offered will ultimately depend on the candidate’s qualifications, experience, and location, and will be determined in line with internal equity.
