Job summary

PTTGC International (Netherlands) B.V. is seeking a Junior Controller in Rotterdam to support the Finance & Tax Manager with accounting, reporting, budgeting and financial projects. You will contribute to month-/quarter-/year-end closings and gain exposure to European investments.

The role offers a broad finance scope in a small international team, with a hybrid model (Rotterdam office three days, two days home). A salary range of €50,000–€65,000 plus benefits is offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration or related field required.
• Minimum of one year of experience in finance or similar environment.
• Solid understanding of financial processes and accounting principles.
• Experience with Excel; ERP experience (SAP or Oracle) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes.
• Assist budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis versus budget.
• Prepare bank reconciliations, cash flow statements and financial reports.
• Contribute to SAP S/4HANA implementation and improvements in reporting.

Are you looking for a broad finance role within an international holding environment? As a Junior Controller at PTTGC International, you will work closely with the Finance & Tax Manager and gain exposure to accounting, reporting, budgeting, and financial projects.

As a Junior Controller, you will become part of the Finance & Tax Department of PTTGC International. From the Rotterdam office, you will support the financial activities of the Dutch holding company and its European investments.

This role offers a broad scope within finance, combining daily financial operations with controlling activities such as reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis. Since you will work in a small team, you will have the opportunity to take ownership, collaborate closely with colleagues, and gain insight into different areas of the organization.

Your responsibilities include:

• Supporting month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes;
• Supporting budgeting, forecasting, and analysis of actual results compared to budget;
• Preparing bank reconciliations, cash flow statements, and financial reports;
• Contributing to finance-related projects, including the implementation of SAP S/4HANA and further improvements in reporting processes.
• Preparing VAT returns and assisting with audit activities;
• Supporting daily financial operations related to purchase-to-pay, order-to-cash, payments, and compliance activities;
• Processing and reviewing purchase invoices, purchase orders, and bank transactions;

Requirements

We are looking for a finance professional who enjoys working in a broad role and feels comfortable in a small, international environment.

You bring:

• A Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field;
• A minimum of one year of experience in finance, accounting, or a similar environment;
• A solid understanding of financial processes and accounting principles;
• Experience with Excel and preferably experience with an ERP system such as SAP or Oracle;
• Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal;
• A hands-on and eager mindset, with the ability to work independently and support the team where needed.

Experience with SAP, BPC, IFRS, or working within an international organization is considered an advantage.

• A salary between € 50,000 and € 65,000 gross per year (including holiday allowance), depending on experience;
• An international working environment with short communication lines and room to develop;
• A hybrid working model: three days per week at the Rotterdam office and two days working from home;
