The Rijksmuseum is offering a two-year opportunity for a recent graduate in glass, ceramics and stone conservation to join the Conservation & Science department as a junior conservator. You will work with the objects conservation team to care for the collection and assist with exhibitions and loans.

You will monitor conditions, perform conservation tasks on acquisitions, document objects for loans or displays, and contribute to conservation research while strengthening ties with vocational

Formación

• MA in glass/ceramics/stone conservation.
• Experience with condition checks and writing reports.
• Experience with preparing transport, installing and de-installing for exhibitions.
• Proficiency in Dutch or English, both oral and written.
• Strong communication and interest in exchanging knowledge with vocational schools.

Responsabilidades

• Monitor the physical condition of the glass, ceramics & stone collection.
• Carry out conservation work on recent acquisitions.
• Assess condition and document objects for loans and exhibitions.
• Participate in research and conservation projects.
• Build cooperation with vocational training schools.
