Job description

At Catawiki, every day brings the extraordinary! Whether it’s Daniel Ricciardo’s Formula 1 Car, a Woolly Mammoth’s Skeleton, Lady Gaga's Jumpsuit or Usain Bolt’s running shoe, we encounter exceptional objects every day.

We’re a one-of-a-kind marketplace for buying and selling special objects. Each week, more than 100,000 unique items are auctioned, all carefully curated by our passionate in-house experts.

Having sold over 25 million unique objects, our mission is to become the world’s most popular destination for special objects. As a growing, diverse and sustainable scale-up, we proudly live by three core values. If these values resonate with you, we’d love to explore how you can join us.

  • Taking ownership and driving impact
  • Being open to change and feedback
  • Being passionate about our mission and our customers.
Your Mission

As a Catawiki Live Business Developer, you will help scale Catawiki Live, a key growth initiative that extends Catawiki’s auction experience through live shopping events. You will build and develop a pipeline of high‑potential sellers, support their onboarding, and help them grow successfully on the platform.

Working closely with commercial teams, category experts and other stakeholders, you will contribute to sustainable revenue growth by supporting sellers throughout the early stages of their journey on Catawiki Live.

What You’ll Do
  • Identify, qualify and develop new seller leads through online research, outreach and collaboration with sales representatives and category experts.
  • Activate high‑potential sellers to join Catawiki Live and expand the seller pipeline.
  • Onboard new sellers to Catawiki Live, helping them understand how to succeed in the live auction format.
  • Support a smooth pre‑and post‑live experience for newly onboarded sellers.
  • Collaborate with category experts and internal stakeholders to develop growth plans for sellers.
  • Build educational content for the Catawiki Live Seller Academy to help sellers maximise success through live auctions.
  • Develop category knowledge to better support sellers and identify growth opportunities.
What You’ll Bring
  • A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business or a related field.
  • At least 1 year of relevant experience, including internships or similar commercial roles.
  • A strong commercial mindset with excellent communication skills.
  • An entrepreneurial approach and strong problem‑solving abilities.
  • An interest in online marketplaces, with an affinity for collecting or understanding seller communities.
  • Experience using Google Workspace tools, including Google Sheets and Google Slides.
  • Fluency in English and ideally two additional European languages, preferably Dutch and/or Italian, with knowledge of live streaming platforms considered a plus.
How We Work
  • Collaborate closely with sales teams, category experts and other internal stakeholders.
  • Support sellers throughout the early stages of their journey on Catawiki Live.
  • Contribute to a cross‑functional growth initiative focused on scaling Catawiki Live.
  • Learn about marketplace commercial functions, including Sales and Category Management, while developing seller growth strategies.
