Job summary

JD.com is offering the JD Young (JDY) Internship Program in the Netherlands. You will work with Category Managers on daily tasks, gain hands-on exposure to real projects, and develop core business skills in a fast-paced, global environment.

Over 3–6 months, you’ll perform data entry, market research, and support product lifecycle management—collaborating with marketing, merchandising and supply chain to drive category initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Economics, or a related field.
• 0-2 years of experience in retail, e-commerce, or a related industry; internships are highly valued.
• Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data interpretation.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
• Detail-oriented and highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
• Proactive and results-oriented with a strong desire to learn and grow within the e-commerce industry.
• Familiarity with e-commerce platforms and basic understanding of retail merchandising principles is a plus.
• Fluency in English; proficiency in Mandarin Chinese is a significant advantage due to the company's global operations.

Responsibilities

• Assist Category Managers in daily operational tasks, including data entry, report generation, and system updates.
• Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and pricing strategies.
• Support the product lifecycle management process, from new product introduction to end-of-life, including SKU creation and maintenance.
• Collaborate with internal teams such as marketing, merchandising, and supply chain to ensure seamless execution of category initiatives.
• Monitor KPIs and sales data, providing insights and recommendations for category optimization.
• Prepare presentations and reports for internal stakeholders, summarizing performance and strategic recommendations.
• Assist in managing vendor relationships, including communication, order tracking, and invoice processing.
• Support promotional activities and campaigns, ensuring timely execution and accurate product information.
