Job summary

Nebius Group in Amsterdam seeks an IT Risk & Controls Manager to embed IT SOX controls across its AI cloud platform and corporate tech stack. You will partner with engineering, Finance and external auditors to design scalable controls, improve evidence quality, and drive remediation across modern cloud environments.

The role combines deep IT risk expertise with hands-on engineering context, requiring strong communication with technical leaders and audit teams, across international time zones.

Qualifications

• Degree in IS/CS/Engineering/Accounting or related field.
• At least eight years in IT risk, IT controls, IT SOX or related area.
• In-house tech/ corporate ownership experience required.
• Experience in first-line tech/engineerings or embedded risk partner role.
• Hands-on in cloud, SaaS, platform environments.
• Strong knowledge of SOX 404, ITGCs, IT app controls, COSO and COBIT.
• Experience with control design, monitoring, remediation.
• Understanding of cloud, IAM, DevOps, CI/CD, SDLC, repos, deployment, Kubernetes.
• Ability to link business controls to supporting systems and IPEs/IUCs.
• Excellent written and spoken English; able to work across time zones.

Responsibilities

• Act as risk and controls partner for a technology organization or portfolio.
• Own and improve IT risk framework, scoping, risk assessment, control maintenance.
• Lead IT SOX readiness: walkthroughs, evidence review, testing coordination, remediation oversight.
• Collaborate with engineering, platform, infrastructure, security, and Finance to implement scalable controls.
• Assess ITGCs and IT-dependent controls across users, changes, operations and third parties.
• Evaluate business controls and their dependencies on systems and data.
• Translate risks into practical guidance for engineers and owners.
• Use data analytics, automation and AI tools to improve coverage and evidence quality.
