Sytac is seeking an IT Project Manager in Amsterdam to lead the development of digital solutions for a client. You will capture requirements, steer the development process and arrange everything around it to deliver on time, within budget and to a high standard.

You will gather stakeholder needs, translate them into clear specs for developers, monitor progress, mitigate risks, and maintain quality through regular feedback sessions. Strong English communication and Agile familiarity are essential.

Formación

• Proven experience managing software development projects in IT.
• Strong IT knowledge and requirements management experience.
• Hands-on Jira experience, including Advanced Roadmaps.
• Basic knowledge of security in software development.
• Familiar with Agile methods and planning/resource tools.
• Excellent English communication and cross-functional collaboration.
• A proactive, results-driven mindset focused on quality.

The assignment

For one of our clients, an international professional services firm in Amsterdam, we’re looking for an IT Project Manager to lead the development of digital solutions. You’ll be responsible for capturing requirements, steering the development process and arranging everything around it, so that projects deliver on time, within budget and to a high standard.

What you’ll do

• Gather and analyse stakeholder requirements, and translate them into clear specifications for the development team.


• Plan, coordinate and monitor the development process to meet goals on time and within budget.


• Spot bottlenecks and risks early, and resolve them.


• Keep developers, testers and stakeholders informed on progress and changes.


• Safeguard quality through regular evaluations and feedback sessions.

What you bring

• Proven experience managing software development projects in IT.


• Strong understanding of IT and solid experience with requirements management.


• Hands‑on experience with Jira, including Jira Plans (Advanced Roadmaps), for planning and tracking progress.


• Basic knowledge of security in software development.


• Familiarity with Agile or other project management methods (Scrum, SAFe, Prince2, PMP), and with planning and resource‑management tools.


• Excellent spoken and written communication in English, and the ability to work well with diverse teams and stakeholders.


• A proactive, results‑driven mindset with an eye for quality and efficiency.

Nice to have

• Experience with Confluence.


• Experience in a corporate environment with compliance requirements, such as financial services, insurance, audit or government.


• Dutch is a plus, but not required.
