Job summary

Sytac BV in Rotterdam is seeking a Senior Business Intelligence Developer to bridge business and IT across international teams. You will develop, maintain and optimise reports, data flows and BI solutions using Power BI and Grafana for European operations.

You will extract and model data from data lakes and warehouses, build reliable interfaces between systems, manage stakeholder expectations, and advise on architecture improvements in coordination with teams in Spain and other EU units.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a BI Developer in an international context.
• Extensive knowledge of Power BI and experience with Grafana.
• Strong SQL Server, Python, data lakes and data warehouses skills.
• Experience with data integrations, APIs and connecting multiple source systems.
• Analytical, proactive and independent with strong communication.
• Dutch language mandatory and excellent English written and spoken.
• Based in the EU; no visa sponsorship available.
• Knowledge of Power Apps and Windows Server; SAP HANA/SuccessFactors experience valued.

For our client, an international player in the maritime and logistics sector, we’re looking for a Senior Business Intelligence Developer. In this role, you’re the crucial link between business and IT. You’ll be responsible for developing, maintaining and optimising reports, data flows and BI solutions.

What you’ll do

• BI & Dashboards: Develop, maintain and manage advanced reports and dashboards in Power BI and Grafana for various European business units.
• Data Pipelines & Integration: Extract, model and analyse data from data lakes and data warehouses, and build reliable data flows and interfaces between business systems.
• Stakeholder Management: Work with international stakeholders to identify information needs and translate them into concrete management and operational reports.
• Advice & Optimisation: Advise on continuous improvements to the data and reporting architecture, in coordination with international colleagues and teams in Spain.

Who we’re looking for

• Experience: Proven experience as a Data Analyst, BI Developer, Data Engineer or similar role in an international context.
• BI & Data Visualisation: Extensive, in-depth knowledge of Power BI and experience with Grafana.
• Data & Engineering Stack: Strong skills in SQL Server, Python, data lakes, data warehouses and version control (e.g. GitHub).
• Integration Knowledge: Experience with data integrations, APIs, interfaces and connecting a wide range of source systems.
• Personality: Analytical, proactive and independent. You communicate well enough to move easily between business needs and technical solutions.
• Languages: Dutch mandatory and excellent written and spoken English is required, as you’ll work closely with international colleagues, including the team in Spain.
• Based in the EU (no visa sponsorship available).
• Knowledge of Power Apps and experience with Windows Server.
• Experience with SAP HANA and SAP SuccessFactors.
• Knowledge of or experience in the maritime or logistics sector.
