Job summary

Linkedtalent is seeking an Ironworker to join our shipyard team in the Netherlands. You will help build steel hulls for superyachts, working with steel and aluminium, following drawings and parts lists. Strong accuracy and ability to read technical drawings are essential.

Responsibilities include precision tack welding, crane operation, and maintaining a safe, productive work environment while collaborating with the Ironwork department and teammates. Dutch and English communication are required.

Qualifications

• At least VMBO level education or equivalent
• Completed technical training, preferably shipbuilding
• Must communicate in Dutch and English

What are you going to do?

A superyacht contains a lot of metal, from steel to aluminium. As an Ironworker, you make an important contribution to the construction process by building a steel hull together with your colleagues from the Ironwork department. Working with relatively thin material, maximum thickness 8 to 10 mm

• High accuracy is required; the tolerance is between +2 mm and -4 mm. The maximum deviation over a length of 6 meters is -3 mm
• Tack welding in all common positions with coated electrode
• Ability to work independently based on drawings and parts lists
• Contribute to a safe and efficient working environment
• Being able to operate a crane independently, so that you can lift and move loads safely.

Eisen

• At least a pre-vocational secondary education (VMBO) work and thinking level
• Completed technical, practical training, preferably in the field of shipbuilding
• You can communicate in Dutch and English

Wensen

• Preferably in possession of a valid VCA or VCA-Vol certificate
• Experience as a metalworker in yacht and shipbuilding to be a major plus.
