Russell Tobin seeks an experienced iOS developer for a 6-month contract in the Netherlands (zzp/freelance). You will design and implement iOS screens and features using Swift, SwiftUI, UIKit, and Xcode, integrating with backend services and GraphQL. The role requires 5–9 years of iOS experience, strong testing, CI/CD, Docker/Kubernetes, and AWS is a plus.

English communication must be excellent. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver production-ready apps and maintain code

Formación

• Minimum 4 years of experience with iOS development and Swift
• Proficient with Swift, SwiftUI/UIKit, Xcode and iOS SDK
• Experience with GraphQL and backend integrations is a plus
• Experience writing unit tests and UI tests
• Knowledge of CI/CD, deployments, monitoring and production support
• Experience with Git version control

Type & Duration: Contract - 6 Months initially

This is open for Freelancing/zzp only in Netherlands

Experience range - 5- 9 years maximum

Minimum of 4 years of experience working with Swift, SwiftUI/UIKit, iOS SDK, Xcode, and modern iOS development tools and methodologies. Expert-level proficiency in iOS development is expected. Experience working with additional technologies like GraphQL and backend integrations is an advantage.

Ability to gather, validate, and translate business requirements and mockups into fully functional screens, components and products for iOS applications.

Expertise in designing and implementing product features in collaboration with other iOS and backend engineers, UX designers, copy writers, test engineers and other crafts.

Expertise in writing unit tests and UI tests, maintaining and improving code quality.

Expertise in software delivery and maintenance aspects: deployments, monitoring, scalability, security, reliability, performance optimization, troubleshooting, and support. Ability to deploy and maintain software in production environments.

Strong understanding of incident response practices. Experience working with performance and crash monitoring tools.

Experience with version control tools like Git.

Expertise in mobile application architecture principles and best practices.

Expertise in cross-device and cross-platform mobile development, feature compatibility, adaptive design, graceful degradation, and fault tolerance.

Experience working with containerized applications (Docker, Kubernetes), including deploying, scaling, managing, and troubleshooting containerized services in production environments. Ability to orchestrate multi-container setups, implement CI/CD pipelines, optimize performance, and ensure high availability to maintain efficient operations.

Experience with cloud-native applications (AWS) is an advantage.

Experience with data-driven product development processes, including data analytics and A/B testing.

Experience working on products impacting a large customer base is a plus.

Fluency in English with excellent written and spoken communication skills.
