ABN AMRO Bank N.V. is recruiting an Investment Associate for the Sustainable Consumption team within the Sustainable Impact Fund (SIF).

You will identify, assess and support high-growth companies across Northwestern Europe that reduce environmental footprints in materials, packaging and food systems. You will contribute to the full investment process—from sourcing to portfolio management—working with managers, founders and co-investors to drive environmental and societal impact alongside

• Strong analytical, financial modelling and valuation skills.

• Excellent command of English; additional European languages are a plus.

Your job

As an Investment Associate in our Sustainable Consumption sector team, you will play an active role in identifying, assessing and supporting high-growth companies that are transforming consumer value chains. Areas of focus include materials, ingredients, consumer products, packaging, food systems, chemicals and technologies that help reduce the environmental footprint of consumption. You will support the full investment process, from sourcing opportunities and conducting market research to transaction execution and portfolio management. Working closely with experienced investment managers, founders, co-investors and industry experts, you will contribute to investments that drive meaningful environmental and societal impact.

Working environment

Your profile

We are looking for a curious, driven and entrepreneurial professional who combines strong analytical skills with a genuine commitment to sustainability.

You bring:

• A university degree in Finance, Economics/Econometrics, Engineering, (Bio)Chemistry or a related field
• Approximately 1-3 years of relevant work experience in a top tier venture capital, private equity, investment banking, or consulting firm
• Strong analytical, financial modelling and valuation skills
• Affinity with sustainable consumption themes such as circularity, sustainable materials, packaging, food systems and ingredient innovation
• Strong communication skills and the ability to build trusted relationships
• A proactive and entrepreneurial mindset
• An open-minded worldview and genuine intellectual curiosity about people, industries and innovation
• Excellent command of English; additional European languages are considered a plus
