ABN AMRO Bank N.V. is seeking a Business Developer within the Non-Financial Risk Grid to drive innovation by translating compliance, market abuse, and data requirements into clear user stories for SaaS and in-house development.
You will shape the data journey from collection and structuring to monitoring, ensuring data quality, security, and alignment with regulatory obligations while collaborating with data specialists, engineers, and stakeholders across IT and business teams.
As a Business Developer within the Non‑Financial Risk (NFR) Grid, you operate with a “getting things done” mindset. You don’t just identify opportunities - you actively drive them from idea to implementation. You work closely with your stakeholders, architects, data specialists, application vendors, POs and DevOps teams both within the NFR Grid and beyond, ensuring seamless alignment between business objectives and technological capabilities. The NFR Grid serves stakeholders in domains such as Legal, Audit, Compliance (Trade Surveillance), SIM, Business Continuity Management, Regulatory Change Management, Privacy, Corporate Office, and more.
What’s your next step? Work on your goals and develop yourself both professionally and personally in our grid. We are keen to hear your story!
Your primary responsibility is to drive innovation by translating business, risk, regulatory and data requirements from Compliance Market Abuse Monitoring stakeholders into clear, actionable user stories for both SaaS and in-house application development. You help shape the complete data journey: from identifying and collecting relevant stock-market, transaction, reference and compliance data to structuring, enriching and making it fit for effective monitoring. You ensure that data is handled in line with ABN AMRO’s security, privacy, classification and data-risk requirements, including requirements for access control, segregation, lineage, logging, auditability, retention and integration with existing systems.
Throughout the delivery lifecycle, you take ownership of requirements clarification, refinement and user acceptance. You work with data specialists and engineers to translate fragmented or complex data needs into simple, reusable and uniform solutions, while proactively identifying opportunities to improve data quality, reduce manual work and increase transparency. Your contribution helps your stakeholders detect potential market abuse more accurately and efficiently, creating visible societal- and user impact in a highly relevant regulatory domain.
You will join a team with data at the heart of its work, including high-volume stock-market and transaction data. Operating at the intersection of business, compliance, risk and IT, you will develop in-depth knowledge of the products, processes, data and systems that support Market Abuse Monitoring and related Non-Financial Risk activities. The role offers the opportunity to make complex data understandable, build bridges between subject‑matter experts and technology teams, and influence how data is collected, structured and used across the monitoring landscape.
