Job summary

NXP Semiconductors Austria is seeking a motivated student for a lab-based role around 20 hours per week to support robotics development. You will optimize robot movements, extend the LabVIEW framework, and assist with 3D design for small fixtures, while soldering SMD components and helping with measurements.

Applicants should be pursuing a technical degree, have knowledge of cobots, path planning, 3D design/printing, LabVIEW, and basic Python.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a technical degree with relevant coursework and projects.
• Knowledge of lab equipment and safety practices is expected.
• Experience with robotics and automation projects is a plus.

Responsibilities

Job description

Your Responsibilities:

• Optimizing movements of the robots with respect to accuracy and execution time
• Extending the existing framework (LabVIEW) with requested features
• Supporting the team with 3D design skills for small fixtures
• Soldering of SMD components
• Working in a lab environment with lab instruments and support the team on measurements tasks

Your Profile

• Ongoing studies in a technical field (e.g. Information and Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Biomedical Engineering, Smart Automation etc.)
• Knowledge in working and programming Cobots (collaborative Robots)
• Knowledge of path planning and precise movements
• Knowledge of 3D design and 3D printing
• Knowledge in LabVIEW programming
• Basic knowledge in Python
• Basic knowledge in embedded microcontrollers is an advantage
• Good English skills (spoken and written)
• Valid work authorization required
• Availability around 20h/week

Please note: The successful candidate may/will be responsible for security related tasks. The assignment may/will be in scope of security certifications, therefore a conscious and reliable way of working is necessary.

The minimum salary for this position is EUR 2.800- gross/month for full-time equivalent at NXP Austria.
