Job summary

LELY is seeking an HBO student for an internship focused on researching and validating SoC and SoH estimation methods for Lead Carbon batteries in autonomous robots. The role combines theory, data analysis and hands-on testing within the Lely Campus environment in Maassluis.

You will compare estimation approaches, perform experiments under varying conditions and aim to deliver a practical recommendation for integration into Lely robot platforms.

Qualifications

• Interest in battery technology, diagnostics and energy storage.
• Affinity with electronics, measurement systems, drive systems and practical prototyping.
• Comfortable setting up experimental test equipment.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and compare SoC/SoH estimation methods from literature and experiments.
• Set up and run battery tests to collect data for method comparison.
• Analyze voltage, current, capacity and temperature data; validate against reference data.
• Provide a practical recommendation for integration into Lely robots.
