Accenture is offering a risk and compliance internship in Amsterdam, with a 5–6 month period, 40 hours per week and hybrid working from home. The role provides exposure to live client projects and data/AI-enabled processes within Financial Services.
You will join a driven team, work under an Accenture mentor, and have opportunities to integrate your academic interests with real client challenges in a collaborative environment.
Are you a driven master’s student ready to explore the dynamic world of consulting, and tackle complex, ever-changing challenges of Risk & Compliance space?
Are you interested in shaping future financial institutions through innovation, AI and technology? Are you motivated to help clients navigate complex challenges and turn ideas into practical solutions? Are you eager to apply your knowledge to real client situations, gain hands-on experience, and develop your skills with the support of experienced colleagues? If so, join a team where you can contribute from day one, learn from experienced colleagues, and grow in an open and collaborative environment.
As part of the Financial Services Risk & Compliance team, you will work on topics that matter to banks and other financial institutions, from regulatory change and risk management to AI-enabled processes, controls, and automation.
In this role, you will be exposed to the questions financial institutions are facing today: how to stay compliant, manage emerging risks, use data and AI responsibly, and build processes that are both efficient and resilient.
This working internship within our Strategy & Consulting - Risk practice will give you the opportunity to work on live client projects while developing your professional skills and in-depth knowledge of the Financial Services sector. There is also the possibility to combine this with a research thesis, which can be conducted alongside your day-to-day work in collaboration with your Accenture mentor.
Our people in Strategy & Consulting support clients every day by combining deep industry insight, functional expertise, data, AI and technology. Positioned at the intersection of business and technology, we help design and deliver practical solutions across topics such as operating models, risk & compliance, digital change, and the future workforce.
As an intern, you will work closely with risk experts across technical topics such as credit risk, GRC and controls, as well as transversal topics like AI-driven credit processes and risk automation. You will also have the opportunity to conduct research on topics that are shaping the risk and banking agenda.
Within this internship, you will have the opportunity to define and explore a research topic in collaboration with your Accenture mentor, aligned with current challenges and trends in the banking risk domain.
We support research topics across two broad categories — Financial Risk and Non-Financial Risk — and welcome proposals that fall within or across either domain. Topics can include, amongst others:
Within all our internships, we offer you the opportunity to develop, learn, orient, build relationships and gain insights into what it’s like to work as a consultant.
