Job summary

Hunkemöller is offering the Best Internship in Retail (BIIR) starting September 2026. Join 50+ interns and gain hands-on experience in internal communications, marketing campaign support, activations, and employee engagement initiatives.

You will produce content, support store staff globally, own content analytics and learn in a collaborative, inclusive environment with a buddy and a strong focus on personal branding and professional development.

Qualifications

• You are hands-on and can coordinate with multiple internal stakeholders.
• You can be creative and write in a fun, attractive Tone of Voice.
• You work proactively and deliver your workload on time.
• You know or want to learn how to set priorities.
• Fluent in English and Dutch preferred.
• Interest in the retail industry.
• Available for 40 hours/week.

Responsibilities

• Develop and organise interactive activations and events for the internal audience.

What will you do?

• Produce visual and written content for all internal communication channels, including our internal app
• Support with the marketing campaigns roll-out and sales information to our store staff globally
• Develop and organise interactive activations and events for our internal audience
• Support with the creation and launch of digital employee engagement initiatives

• You have a hands-on mentality and are not afraid to work with different internal stakeholders
• You can be creative and can write in a fun and attractive Tone of Voice
• Your way of working can be described as proactive and precise whilst delivering your workload on time
• You know, or want to learn, how to set priorities
• Fluent in both English and Dutch preferably
• Interest in the retail industry
• You're available for 40 hours/week to work

• Work From Home (WFH) Policy: For 40-hour internships, you are allowed to work from home up to 2 days per week, depending on the nature of your role. During onboarding, WFH days may vary to better support your learning and training.
• Internship Allowance: 450€ per month (gross) with 8+ holiday days (based on 40h/week).
• Travel Allowance: Max. 23€ per day (based on your travel distance), if you are not eligible for the free Student OV Chipcard.
• Additional Benefits: Access to 25% staff discount and a company laptop. Also, company gatherings like Townhalls and drinks.

Eligibility Criteria

• You are an EU citizen,
• You are on a Family/Partner visa, or
• You are a non-EU student studying in the Netherlands, and you meet at least one of the following requirements: (1) The internship is a mandatory part of your curriculum, OR (2) your university is willing to sign a third-party agreement (Nuffic Agreement).
