Job summary

Feadship zoekt een Intern Data Science & AI om onze analytische capaciteiten te versterken door te werken met operationele sensordata uit onze vloot. Je maakt deel uit van het Knowledge and Innovation-team en werkt aan realistische datasetprojecten met AI en ML.

Je bent ingeschreven in een masteropleiding, woont in Nederland en kunt met publiek vervoer naar Hoofddorp reizen. Je hebt programmeerervaring en bent bereid AI-modellen vanaf nul te ontwikkelen en te evalueren.

Qualifications

• Ingeschreven in een masteropleiding in een technisch vakgebied.
• Woonachtig in Nederland (moet)
• Vaardig in programmeren en ervaring met AI-modellen bouwen
• Kennis van versiebeheersing (Git) en samenwerkingsmiddelen

Responsibilities

• Verkennen van ACTUAL AI-onderzoek om potentiële benaderingen te identificeren.
• Ontwikkelen en evalueren van AI-modellen voor sensor data.
• Toepassen van het werk op een praktische use case binnen Feadship

At De Voogt Naval Architects, we are responsible for the design, basic engineering, and all calculations required to build custom superyachts. We are the technical and creative heart of Feadship, and the home of all research and development.

As an intern, you will make a meaningful contribution to this. Whether it’s structural design, mechanical engineering, or naval architecture, your work will involve precision, calculation, and problem-solving, powered by both insight and ingenuity. Will you help turn dreams into reality?

This is what you will do as an Intern Data Science & AI

Feadship builds the world’s most exclusive superyachts. Every day, we work on technically cutting-edge projects where innovation and custom design go hand in hand. The amount of available data from our fleet is growing rapidly, and so are the opportunities to generate valuable insights for design and engineering, through machine learning and AI.

Within our Knowledge and Innovation team, we are looking for a curious and analytically strong intern who wants to work with real datasets from our Feadship fleet, with a focus on operational sensor data. Together, we will explore how AI can accelerate the analysis of operational data from our fleet and strengthen our analytical capabilities.

You will have the opportunity to:

• Explore current research in AI to identify promising approaches.
• Help develop and evaluate AI models that could make the analysis of sensor data faster and more effective.
• Apply your work to a practical use case within the company.

Dit breng je mee

• You are enrolled in a master’s program (academic) in Computer Science, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Mathematics, Applied Physics, Systems and Control or a related technical field
• You currently reside and study in the Netherlands (must)
• You can reach Hoofddorp by public transport, due to limited parking space for cars
• You are analytical, self-motivated, and enjoy solving complex technical problems
• You have programming experience and have built and trained AI models from scratch
• You are familiar with version control and collaboration tools, such as Git and GitHub
• You are curious about developing and evaluating AI models for real-world technical data
